  1. Then you aready have all the music of this new 4-CD compilation.

I also own all six 3-CD sets from the 2003 Instant Live series. They were first released as CD-R's and then re-released a year or two later as pressed CD's. I have bought all six shows when they were released as pressed CD's, even replacing a couple of shows which I had previously bought as CD-R's (sold the CD-R releases later on).

I saw them in 2003 and it was a great show. I always liked the 2003 series.

I can't remember if I saw them that year. I saw them quite a few times in the last 20 years but had to skip a few tours due to my work schedule.

You can make a mirror of Fillmore East, but add in Midnight Rider and Dreams, can't wait!

Me too I really like their downloads though, nice mix. This one is probably my favourite so far.

That final concert from 10/28/14 is a memorable one. The concert didn't end until the early morning hours of 10/29. Probably the most significant date in ABB history.

Also on the near-term docket is a package featuring multiple shows by the original Allmans lineup at the Fillmore West in San Francisco.

A number of other projects are now being considered for release. Among those are a July 19, 2005 concert at the Warner Theatre in Earie, Pa., that like the Grateful Dead's 1977 Cornell University show, is considered by Allmans aficionados to be one of the best the group ever played. A "ferocious" late-period show in Fresno, Calif., before a small (2,000 people) crowd may be dusted off, and Holman is hoping to put the Allmans' final concert, from Oct. 28, 2014 at New York's Beacon Theatre, out in physical form.

The organization also plans to release something from guitarist Jack Pearson's tenure (1997-1999) with the group. "We're trying to figure out which (show) to put out," Holman says. "We'll ask Jack for his memory, any nights that stood out in his mind as a player."

Nice group shot. I liked that incarnation of the band a lot and have a bunch of music from that lineup. All lineups actually :)

Really? I never heard or read about that show. And I've followed plenty Allman brothers thread around here or elsewhere.

The Dead show at Cornell '77 is another thing. It was the first thing that got recommended to me when I got interested in the band back in 2005...

Interesting set list, but not one I'd think of as essential.

I'd welcome a commercial edition of the last show, as I was fortunate to be there, but if not I have the audio. Now that was a set list! :agree:

Surely hyperbole from the editorial department. A show without neither Duane nor Dickey cannot possibly be the ABB's equivalent to Cornell, especially not if it features "Into the Mystic".

I just spoke to Jack, via FB messenger, and it sounds like progress is being made :

" I listened to a lot of shows and told them what shows the band played well together, we shall see what happens. "

Poor Jack. I was very critical of his demeanor on stage during several reviews I had written of ABB concerts. I had no issues whatsoever with his playing - which was stellar. But I said that he wandered about the stage like he was `looking for loose change'. Little did I know that the deafening volume of Dickey's amps was driving him batty. And eventually out of the band.

Based on the stuff I’ve heard, 1998 was a solid year.

I’d welcome 1970’s material, post-1971. As for The Gregg Allman Tour, there were six shows recorded...2 each at Carnegie Hall (NYC), Capitol Theatre (NJ), and Boston Music Hall. I read that someone hopes to get working on a 1974 show, soon. That would be sweet...because then I could fashion my own homemade Laid Back deluxe (album, demos/alternates, live set).

I think we're going to get a lot of ABB archive material in the next decade, but have to be patient.

I wish I believed this, but with the way this band has been managed the releases could dry up tomorrow.

I hope that isn't what happens. Who is managing ABB's music catalog?
