I doubt it. Gus Skinas of Super Audio Center LLC/Sonoma Systems
is still sending me check disks. Gus is bothered by the 30 cycle blow sounds of Nat's breath on the un-stockinged Neumann microphone on the three channel version. :)

Are you kidding? To hear Nat's breath is the whole point - lol! Bring on the Nat King RUMBLE ;)

Just checked "My Account" and it says it's back ordered?

I ordered it Nov 11th?

I was playing my check-disk of "LOVE IS THE THING" upstairs and was called away to the phone. I ran downstairs and was talking on the phone and washing my hands in the bathroom and I kept on hearing this banging on the walls. It was so weird and strong I had to investigate. Yeah, it was Nat Cole's breath on the Neumann microphone bass-blasting through my speakers and floor right through the wall to the gut. I'm used to it after the DCC Gold CD and LP but on our new SACD and 45 RPM direct live mix it's even more "there". Turn your sub-woofer off when you play this album or your neighbors will not be happy (unless you're a total bass freak).

Steve are we talking about quite a long delay for the release of these CD's, baring in mind you may have to sort any problems out.

    There are no problems.

Check with Acoustic Sounds. Won't be long now.

Does anybody know if all the Nat King Cole titles are being pushed back or we can expect first SACDs to be put out in February?

Anyone here would only know what they heard from Acoustic Sounds.

Just ask them but wait for a week until they all recover from the CES.

There is a review for The Nat King Cole Story on Analouge Productions in the new Stereophile magazine.

Strange, that was due to be released in April. Is there any mention of the albums which originally were scheduled for release in January?

A review? The SACD/CD of THE NAT "KING" COLE STORY hasn't even been electronically assembled yet! No finished artwork, no nothing.

There are 45 RPM test pressings but they are different mixes than the SACD/CD.

Can't be much of a review.

Yes, the February, 2010 issue. Michael Fremer gives a glowing review.

Wow, he got a great head start. Glad he liked the set. It was blood, tears, toil and sweat to make it. Also it was extremely gratifying.

It's not really a review. Fremer chose the Nat King Cole Story as one of his two "Records to Die For", the yearly feature in Stereophile. He praised it as being better than the original. He obviously had a test pressing of the vinyl.

    Well the review does say,

"This eight LP, two SACD set mastered from the original three-track tapes is a sonic spectacular that outdoes the original by a wide margin-as does its packaging."

Wow, cool. Wait until he hears the three channel part. Some of those original multi-channel tapes hadn't been touched in 50 years.

I also can't wait to hear the SACDs.... especially "After Midnight"

The review does list the catalouge number as Analogue Productions, APP-SWCL 1613. I wonder if this is correct.

The review does close out by saying that; "The SACDs include three-channel and two-channel mixes. A major re-issue."

Sounds right. Would it break your heart if they changed the prefix a bit though? :):)
