I always take advantage of these sales to stock up on titles I've been putting off buying. Sometimes the low price and free shipping gets me to buy titles I wouldn't even think of buying full price.
Thanks for the code, I grabbed Dylan Greatets Hits II and the Doors in Concert for 18 bucks, average of 4.50 per CD shipped. Not bad at all!!!!!!
The BMG website is c r a w l i n g today. This is a great deal, anyone who wants to pick up any of the Universal "Gold" series, they are only $7.99 shipped, that's $4.00 less than Yourmusic.com.
thanks for the heads up!
help me here, I enter the code in the gift certificate section, and it doesn't work.
Am I missing something?
EDIT: DISREGARD!!! I found it. It's been a long day!
The code still worked today (12/13/05)
good thru 12/20/05
Is this for the club? If not, can someone post the site please???
Love it. My latest haul. . .
Allman Bros. Live At Fillmore East, Deluxe Edition [2 CDs]
Muddy Waters, The Anthology (1947-1972) [2 CDs]
Cheap Trick, The Essential Cheap Trick [2 CDs]
The Band, Rock Of Ages [2 CDs]
$41.96 total , shipped. Cheaper than yourmusic.com, plus 8 bonus points.
Thanks for posting!
After I got this coupon code in an email from BMG, I was only intending to pick up the Dave Brubeck "For All Time" box set after reading the earlier Brubeck thread (ironically enough, I'd forgotten that such coupon codes usually don't apply to box sets). But the lure of cheap 2-disc Deluxe Editions was too much to resist, and I wound up grabbing all three of the Marvin Gaye ones, DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing", and the Legacy Edition "Round About Midnight" - at $11.99 for the latter, it's a lot easier to rationalize double-dipping on this title.
The Led Zeppelin box set is only $52 with this sale.
I just used this code: DD5STC3 (Free shipping with 5cd or more purchase). It worked with box sets. It says it expires 12/31/05
I got Tom Petty "Playback" and Rickie Lee Jones "Duchess of Coolsville" both for $35.98 shipped.
Do you have to be a member? What's the URL?
I'm pretty sure you need to be a member. This was from BMG music club (not yourmusic.com) and they e-mailed it to me.
Another 60% off code w/ free shipping (not good on box sets)
Thanks for the code.
BMG has an interesting way of defining "box sets." I just ordered a pair of double CDs, Jerry Garcia's Legion of Mary and Chailly's Mahler 9th symphony. It accepted the code for both, $9.99, free S&H. Two bucks cheaper than yourmusic and bonus points. However, it did not accept the code for the 2-CD June Carter Cash "Keep on the Sunny Side," apparently maintaining that the club's "already low price" is adequate. It's $19.98, fwiw. Factoring in BMG's inflated S&H, I can get it cheaper in bricks and mortar stores.
This is what gripes me about BMG. Last week they had a buy-one, get 3 free deal. I plugged this two-CD set into my cart. Even though it's 2 CDs, it only entitled me to three free CDs, not six. I didn't complete the order. In effect, when it benefitted BMG, this was a single CD. But today the 60% off code doesn't work on the same item because it's a box set. When it benefits BMG, the same CD that was a single a few days ago magically becomes a double.
Oh well. Not worth losing sleep over but vexing nonetheless.
Yeah, I have the same gripes. Even worse was we used to be able to count 2-disc sets as one selection when enrolling or re-enrolling. Now they count as two selections. So no more loading up on Deluxe Editions when you sign up.
I usually hold off on boxed sets for one of their "Buy 5, get free S&H" sales like they did this past November.
It's times like this, that I wish I lived in the US of A
Are they charging S&H on boxsets?
I too like the deals where you get free S&H when you get 5 it works out nice on boxsets.
as far as I know, box sets NEVER apply for free shipping. Those Gold double sets are dirt cheap with this code. I just grabbed the Cream and Buddy Holly double CDs for under 8 bucks each shipped.
During some sales they do.
edit: nevermind. my error (I was applying coupon code in wrong location)
They do during the "all cds $5.99, free shipping on 5 or more" sales.
