And Milli Vanilli sold 10s of millions. What's your point?

But Milli Vanilli never did a Bond theme. Set and match.

She mimics old jazz singers like Billie Holiday with severe affects to their voice, but she’s all affect with no voice. It’s a sad state of affairs that pop music has come to, a tranquilized minimalism with no joy or emotion, maybe just a sedated sadness. And I like the Milli Vanilli comparison. And it’s true about how her voice is recorded so loud. She sounds like a giant stomping on a little village of pianos and strings, and Johnny Marr’s little guitar.

with all that has went wrong with the last film, this was the biggest mistake it made (not using it instead of Sam Smith hack job :shake:).

I like it, and I really like Eilish in general so far, but I was surprised by how mellow/understated this is for a Bond theme song. It gives me an impression that this might be a more introspective, even melancholy Bond film, although of course the theme song wouldn't have to match the tone of the film.

I think if you cut off the first two minutes it's a much better Bond song

Cool song. Has "Bond theme" written all over it.
I've heard a couple of her singles but this is the first time I hear Billie actually sing.

Why is the Bond franchise aiming for the emotional maturity of junior high? Like, whatever, study hall sucks. Forgot my locker combo.

Are they planning a reboot after killing off the franchise?

As opposed to the ripened maturity of the irrelevant grave of the oldsters? Rest homes are soooo lame.

You can easily tell the people you can't take seriously on any subject besides what the best remaster of Layla is.

That's due to the production, with that kind of string arrangement.

Yes you won. I grovel at your superiority using chart success as a barometer for quality.

As well as the ones who defend anything that is popular as having some sort of intrinsic quality to it that old people just can’t see, as if the music never changes or ages, only the people who listen to it. Sometimes there are more of those on this site than the other.

We're not talking some hip underground record here suddenly superior to said other hip underground record and one charted and one didn't.

    Radiohead is seriously overrated.

It's not that Radiohead is overrated. It's just that you don't like it.

No, old music nerds all know that there's no good sounding version of Layla.

You can tell the youngsters by the off target snark.
