Dutton Vocalion has announced more SACDs for July, including titles by the Guess Who, Charlie Rich, and Paul Revere and the Raiders! These are twofers and multi channel.

Found the info on the Dutton site.
Arguably the two best Guess Who albums on one disc.
    Wow
And the Raiders too Hard’n’Heavy/Indian Reservation is cool too, don’t think I’ve seen the latter on CD

Great news on the Guess Who twofer. Now they only need to do Canned Wheat and Wheatfield Soul and they will have released every non-fake quad mix of the Guess Who. Audio Fidelity already did Greatest Hits Vol. 1 so I'm good there.

I actually skipped the new Guess Who SACD, as I also have the Hoffman Audio Fidelity SACD, although after ordering the other two new D/V releases, I remembered that I have recently read where some fans are saying that it's not as good as we had hoped, so maybe I should have ordered the new D/V title after all? (NOTE: I have yet to open my copy of the A.F.)

Well it is after 5PM in the UK so it may not go out until tomorrow anyway.

So did I, and it means nothing. Just like when we're all selling here in the classifieds, only means they've started the process, like assigning a tracking number here, for those that do it all at home.
Mine was less than 5 minutes.

After the "yeah, er, whatever" Guess Who releases, finally we hit paydirt. A must buy.

And we're getting a PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED Paul Revere/Raiders quad issue.

Wow...they are getting access to previously unreleased quad mixes? This could be good.

But where, oh where, is the Eric Carmen quad???!!!

Yep, this is Grade A stuff now. Maybe we get Edgar Winter next?

Canned Wheat and Wheatfield Soul? I'd pass on that. Don't like the early stuff.

  17. Ordered all of them. Many thanks for the alert. Why in the world don’t the send email announcements the day they go on sale? Dear lord.

I just also ordered the new GUESS WHO SACD, so while I cheated myself on the shipping, I'll also have Michael Dutton's mastering of those two great Guess Who albums as well!

Trust me, I've ordered from Dutton Vocalion directly before and I know that there is always a wait, but well worth it!

I wish they would do those early Michael Nesmith quads. Especially Loose Salute.

Since they're doing unreleased material now, it would be nice to get the first Boston album in quad. I doubt they can get the rights to that, though. (Same with Born to Run, for that matter).

Yeah, something must be happening over at D-V, we've jumped from Paul Mauriat and Hugo Montenegro to this...! Quarterly figures come in, Mike...?

You skipped the Hits Vol. 2 because you already have Vol. 1? The D/V release is a different album than the Hoffman master AF SACD FYI. YOU NEED BOTH to get all the GH hits in quad. Only the first couple of tracks sound weak in quad on Vol. 1, the remainder of the disc, and the stereo tracks are wonderful. Vol. 2 is exceptional quality throughout.
