  2. These are almost exactly the albums I'm missing from the 1968-1987 period (I'm not that interested in anything more recent). If they'll release this on CD I may pick it up, I have no room for huge vinyl sets.

Finally! I liked the first box a lot. I’ll be getting this new one because Heroes has always been sonically compromised.

See above for CD details, which seems to be "huge-er"!

  8. Thank you for the details on that one. Bigger and probably more expensive as well. And several albums I already own. I'll probably pass, but who knows.

Then Play On is listed as the 2013 remaster; but what about the other studio albums, are they being remastered for this set?

It's a little strange how the boxes seem to be similar, but different. I'm a huge fan of this era of the band, but I don't really have a reason to spring for the vinyl set. There are no extras on it. That said, I hope the CD set is mastered well and isn't compressed/brickwalled. That is a definite purchase for me. I'm starved for rarities from this era!

Heroes is a little inconsistent, the rest are truly great albums. Powerful, mystical, strong blues roots anchoring inspired pop sensibility. I mean "Future Games" is out there

Aside from Then Play On, which uses the 2013 remaster, I would assume that the other six studio albums will be using the same remasters as the 2017, digital download only releases of those albums. Then again, those releases did not have any of the bonus tracks, so this isn’t a definite.

The CD version is £37.99 on Amazon UK, which isn't bad at all for an eight-disc set. Will be interesting to see whether they use the Qobuz/HD Tracks/iTunes remasters, which were a mixed bag based on what I've heard: Mystery To Me was superb, Future Games was a touch compressed but perfectly listenable, and Bare Trees was a monstrosity.

john lennonist There ONCE was a NOTE, PURE and EASY...

If, down the line, the '73 – '74 LP boxes get broken up, I'd certainly go for discs 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Would also consider the CD's that cover the Live at the Record Plant stuff if the SQ is good/great.

The 1975 - 1987 box, containing the 5 Buckingham/Nicks/McVie lineup studio albums on color vinyl, also appears to follow the same uniform box design, working to make this a series in a way:
