I bought copies of all the anadisc (old mo-fi) releases and have no complaints with noisy vinyl on ANY of them.

Well, I listened to the Aimee Mann LP straight through now, and my initial impression still stands. There is some minor surface noise throughout and only 2 or three times did i hear an audible 'pop' during loud passages. The tonality of the mastering is the same as the SACD, but the SACD is (obviously) more quiet, a little less sibilant and just slightly smoother sounding in the high end. I give the edge to the SACD but the LP would not be a bad purchase, IMO. This is all, of course, based solely on my single copy. Other copies may be more or less noisy. Such is the way of vinyl.

Mine is too, but the Allan Parson's lp is awful.
