Hope there's an announcement for tracklist of Artists/Groups that were licensed for Licorice Pizza Soundtrack soon! If anyone has a link or updates please post, like to get the vinyl release if it happens and sometimes Real Gone Music has released "colored vinyl" Editions if that is possible.
This looks so good, maybe PTA going to the well too many times but I don't care. Love the torch being handed to Cooper Hoffmann; a crazed Jon Peters played by Bradley Cooper could be a role of a lifetime. Put me in the Inherent Vice lovers' camp. PTA totally got the Pynchon vibe. Can't wait to sit in a theatre for this one!
is it true that Pta is now with Danielle (Haim) ? for whatever reason I always hoped for a Minnie Riperton biopic (by him) lol
I thought PTA has been with Maya Rudolph for a couple of decades? Her mother is Minnie Ripperton, so your hope for a biopic seems reasonable...
Assuming the dialogue and set pieces can even come close to as entertaining as Boogie Nights it will be my kind of movie, even if it’s kind of a formless hangout where the plot doesn’t fully drive the thing. Should be worth it just for the warm scope ratio photography capturing that era
For me, his genius was solidified with Phanton Thread. I had no idea he had something like that in him... Every flippin shot is a masterpiece of composition and light, and the writing said so much about the brutality of love.. It totally floored me So yeah..I'm in!
I'm old and from L.A., so when I see the title I think of the record store. They should just go ahead and use the old Licorice Pizza logo on the poster. Much more evocative of the '70's than what they've got.
paul thomas anderson has a famous parent, announcer ernie anderson he did those voice overs for ABC . THE MOB WANTS DAN TANNA BAD, BUT DAN IS GOING TO GET THE MOB GOOD ON VEGAS.
Just saw the latest trailer before the Sopranos movie!! Looks very interesting now! More story given away. I sense crime. That first trailer was a snoozer
Sold. An original voice who shines when doing 70s period pieces--Boogie Nights and Inherent Vice are the two best things P.T.A. ever did. Uses music very effectively in His films, too. Trailer looks great, but this Haim girl is gonna be the weak link. - siyt
