He. I at least don't think much of Flowers nor Off the ground, bar some songs which I love. :)

It's so quiet here today...the calm before the storm???

I'm sure that the upcoming releases will be several coloured vinyl editions of standard albums...

If they are going to be vinyl reissues I wonder what the source will be. It would be great to get an all analog remaster like the Beatles vinyl Mono Box. Or if they choose the Hi Resolution route will they go back a do a completely new remaster like the Harrison Box or do you think they'll just use the Hi Resolution from the already existing Archive series?

IF we are getting colored vinyl LPs:

My guess is they will take the easy way out, so: the Hi Resolution from the already existing Archive series.

But there might be some LPs that have not been released yet in the Archive series, so then who knows?

Since it is the 20th Anniversary of Flaming Pie (wow!), I think we will be getting some kind of McCartney Archive Series/Deluxe edition of that before Christmas--so many b-sides and I'm sure demos to pluck for that, plus a vinyl release of the album--and then Paul will wait till Feb or March to drop his new studio album.

Based on his selections for Pure McCartney, Paul thinks very highly of FP and I imagine it's also near and dear to his heart as the last album he made while Linda was alive and featuring Linda on the record. I would guess he wants to oversee the deluxe re-issue of it before too long and before he launches a new album/tour or other projects.

So I'm putting my money on that!

I guess a "Flaming Pie" Archive edition would make many of us here quite happy. But the lack of enthusiasm the two people in the know here show make it seem unlikely. Also at least one of them stated the the forthcoming release will be neither a new studio album nor part of the Archive Collection...

    I have an idea:

Eight, for the album of the 8 wings album (I don't include Wings Greatest)
and the color for a color vinyls
    For clear, no idea...
so maybe a box set with color vinyls including all the wings album (safe for Wings Greatest)

    Wild Life (1971)
    Red Rose Speedway (1973)
    Band on the Run (1973)
    Venus and Mars (1975)
Wings at the Speed of Sound (1976)
    Wings over America (1976)
    London Town (1978)
    Back to the Egg (1979)

But it fits all the "clues":
    Multiple releases.
    Not an Archive.
    Not anything new.
    Eight of them.
Neither good nor bad according to the insiders, who are "disinterested".

Now if we can assign proper colors to them, then we might have it figured out.

HOWEVER: I don't see them including the triple LP Wings Over America --- as that would already match the Archive LP edition. And it would add too much cost. So they might include Wings Greatest instead of the live set.

Or an extra vinyls with B side
Wings Greatest, will be strange, it will be for a lot of tracks a duplicate

I doubt that because that would be something "new" and something that I and many others would deem "good". I think MaccaWings also would think a bonus LP of non-LP sides would be "good" (instead of "disinteresting").

This looks possible. I was thinking they could start at McCartney and release 8 at a time so to not be so overwhelming for the fan to afford. But I like the Wings idea

I think it's going to be something stupid -- like a live album of the One-on-One tour. It will be available in multiple versions with slightly different set lists depending on which concert you went to. I'll be passing on that. The last thing Paul needs to release is another late-career live album. So of course I won't be surprised if that's exactly what we're getting. Just some pre-release :rant:ing here.
