Out of interest as I don't know and it would be a long Discogs search which PF albums had a dedicated quad mix done in the 1970s?
Blimey.... I need that one as well... Just ordered it on back order. Temporarily out of stock, but at that price i can't not order it.
Wow, these vinyl reissues sound so terrific! Especially The Final Cut and The Division Bell! I got to say, I listen to them much more than I listen to the so-called classic albums.
Just want this confirmed guys. Im getting a but if distortion in my left channel of Chapter 24 of Piper at the Gates of Dawn 2016 reissue. Most audible is when they sing "Sunrise" towards the end of the track. Do others experience this and what stylus profile do you have? Mines is Elliptical. Thanks!
I had to put headphones on for it Leon, but on my transfer using an Orto Blue I do, it's faint. Sounds like a compression/recording issue not a set-up/cartridge one.
Yeah, I tried to listen on a digital track on youtube as well, and I can hear it there too. I dont think it was from a vinyl record either, so its probably on the tape itself.
Over in the RSD 2019 thread they've uncovered that the mono Saucerful will be released for the event. Maybe Nick will have some advance copies at his gigs
Probably as all the other ones from the 2016 campaign which were excellent. I will bet that Bernie Grundman cut this one...
Apologies for not successfully sifting through this 586 page thread, but can someone explain the differences (if any) between the UK and US pressings of these PF reissues? Looking to fill a few gaps in my PF collection and wondering if this is something I need to keep in mind. Thanks!
You mean EU and US? And no, the only difference is I think the pressing plant. EU copies are plated and pressed at Optimal while US copies are plated at optimal and pressed at RTI. They will sound identical though and the Japanese is no different either. Pick the plant you prefer, or if you want an OBI you can pay 2 or 3 times as much for the Japanese.
