Sorry for the funky formatting on the track listing. Best I could do from my phone.

This is a fantastic concept for a vault release.

This sounds interesting. Could've put more effort into the artwork.

Can't wait to hear this. I was starting to worry about the vault, and wondering it we'd ever hear all of the great material he had stashed away. After the slight misfire that was Piano & Microphone, it's good to see they're finally kicking this campaign off in earnest.

I’m wondering too. From the article, my sense is that it’s just the CD bundled with the LP (presumably in fancy packaging). But if there’s exclusive music on it, I’d sure like to know!

not being the bootleg collector many others on here seem to be - what has and not been previously heard?
also, "NC2U"; is the live Rosie Gaines version the only one by him? I wonder why they'd just put out a version that's on a Hits collection if there were others.

These are the only tracks that I'm sure are circulating. (There might be others I've missed.) FTR, some versions are pretty poor, like "Manic Monday" and "Love Thy Will Be Done," so upgrades would be welcome. The circulating "Glamorous Life" is pretty clean. Two of the best & most pristine leaks didn't make the cut tho: "Screams Of Passion" (The Family) and "101" (Sheena Easton). The Prince versions of those are incredible.

As for NC2U, it was a big deal last year when the vault released the first studio version with Prince on solo vocals. That hadn't circulated at all until just before the announcement. That's the version on this album, but it's already available to stream or buy on 7" vinyl from last year. (EDIT: Or watch the video!)

My only problem with Piano & Microphone was that it was such a niche title. Something like this with an appealing & easy to explain concept seems like better way to make a splash.

Great stuff! I thought the Tidal album was going to be new music, but this will do nicely as well! Hope this is will turn out to be a first volume or introductary sampler, because there is of course lots more like this.

ah, right! totally had forgotten that version and in the article I saw it mentioned Rosie Gaines and assumed that was the one in the release. "reading comprehension" :)

Yeah, that cover isn't great. It's actually a bad album cover.

I would really like to have seen 'Mutiny' on this release but still, this is one of things I've wanted to see the estate put out.

It's like they haven't found anyone they trust to make some "heavy lifting" choices in the mixing/editing department. Prince may have taken many of his "trade secrets" with him.
