"Girlfriend" has arrived! The title of the first track sums up my listening experience: "Divine Intervention".

It's Tuesday and I'm working across from this building, so it'd be a great day for my copy of Girlfriend to arrive.

Edit: this joke would be way better if I could find a way to post my actual picture. But anyway, it's of this: The Weld Building-Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Spinning Girlfriend as I type. Can’t imagine this record sounding any better than what I’m hearing. Another home run folks!

A release I have always wished would get the audiophile treatment is Semisonic - Great Divide.

Why not their whole catalog while were at it! I think Chemistry is an underrated classic.

I did not get a chance to listen to it last night, but the cover for Burrito Deluxe is stunning! The foil lettering really pops!

Burrito Deluxe is another fantastic sounding release. I really prefer the content to Guilded Palace too. I do have the original pressing but now it’s just here for collectior’s value. This is the one I play from here on.

@IR Shane, I just wanted to tell you that I recently listened to your Joe Jackson Live in New York double LP for the first time. What a great record. Excellent sound and beautiful packaging. Kudos to RTI - my copy is two PERFECTLY pressed, dead silent records. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Joe Jackson.

Keep up the great work, Shane; and thanks!

That one and Body and Soul as well.

But I can't imagine we will be in the Majority.

I would love vinyl pressing pressings of some key Samples albums. I have played their CDs to death for years. I personally love the album No Room but they have many great albums.

Came home to my Girlfriend and a Burrito Deluxe, which would make for a good start to any weekend! Both look stunning; the red foil on BD was worth the wait. As expected: sonic revelations a-plenty, especially on the bass end of BD. Right now, I'm getting teary immersed in "Winona". So glad that this album, which has been a part of my life since it came out when I was 13, finally has the treatment it deserves. Two more winners for IR!

You just have to follow that specific thread of conversation. Somebody suggested doing Starfish on SRX vinyl, but Shane isn't going to do any titles on SRX at this time. I do believe a release of Starfish is still on the table.

Speaking of Starfish, I picked up an original Arista ARCD-8521 CD edition (like this one) at a thrift store last week for $1.99, and it's whetted my appetite for an IR reissue/remaster of this title. This original CD sounds great, but I would love to hear it on vinyl and SACD, freshly remastered with the latest technology and top skills, from the original tapes.

I hadn't heard this album in decades; it's really good!

    Craig.
