There will be a free version that is ad supported. CBS All Access should've gone this route. $5 or $10 will get you a larger library, unlimited access to Peacock originals and The Tonight Show and Late Night at 8 and 9 o'clock respectively. This now went from dumbest streaming service I've heard of to something I'll add to my Roku on day one.

Heck with buying it, I borrow them from the library, lol. A good network app should serve to supplement the OTA broadcast. That's where people had an issue with CBS All Access. You want $$$$ to just show me the same crap that you send over the air? Hmm. Oh, you'll have original Star Trek and Twilight Zone programming that I have to pay for when you broadcast crap over the air on Thursday, Friday and Saturday??? Stoopid business model.

We watched an episode of 21 Jump Street, but we didn’t finish it because my mom didn’t like it.

This could work but I feel that most of the "streaming only" crowd is content just watching Netflix (and Hulu to a lesser extent), they're way ahead of the game and have more than enough content for casual watchers who aren't TV buffs like me.

And then there are those people who just pirate everything.

From the network that brought you every show Lorne Michaels and Dick Wolf could think of to take up space on the schedule.

Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have more quality TV than I have time to keep up with.

I downloaded the app, on the free tier, just to watch some soccer matches on Wednesday, and it worked well for me.
With a lot of Olympics and sports programming coming up on NBC, I can see Peacock doing a quite a bit of live sports in a different way than when they show events on the network channel.
Like show the actual competition, instead of a lot of human interest storys behind the athlete (primarily the US athletes) that seem to have taken over the US network broadcasts.
