There was an announcement on the Second Disc site that this album of Nick's
Was going to be reissued in April. The Amazon link is disconnected, so what happened?

This is excellent news! It's both angering and frustrating when you consider how many of Nick's albums have gone OOP and despite the more recent, enjoyable reissues of the other albums.

I think the OP meant something different Mel! He is wondering what happened after the announcements were made?

I've been waiting for years now so I guess I can be patient for a few months. Thanks for the update.

Awesome--a long time coming. Maybe none as great as Jesus of Cool and Labour of Lust, but strong nonetheless.

wow. Great news. You would think after that box set, the barrel would have been scraped clean.

His cover of Never Get Me Up on Cowboy Outfit is really great. I think Pinker is the worst thing he's done, only redeemed by a fantastic Hiatt cover of Love Gets Strange.

Lowe's own "Crying in My Sleep" has always been a favorite here.

He wrote Little Cat for the movie Absolute Beginners and he never issued it. Wonder if it'll be a bonus track

Hear Nick Lowe's Unreleased Country Cover, 'Walk On By'

This article from NPR kinda buries the lede (although the lost country song is pretty cool), but it mentions his six 80s-era albums are getting reissued. Yep Roc did a great job with Jesus of Cool and Labour of Lust, so this is just great news...

-All six albums be reissued digitally July 14 via Yep Roc Records.
-Nick the Knife and The Abominable Showman will be available on CD and LP on July 14.
-Nick Lowe And His Cowboy Outfit and The Rose of England will be released on CD and LP on Aug. 25
-Pinker And Prouder Than Previous and Party Of One arriving on CD and LP on October 20.

I hope that Vic Anesini will do the mastering for these like he did for the Yep Roc reissues of 'Jesus of Cool' and 'Labour of Lust'.

I just bought Rose Of England. I'm glad I didn't fork over big bucks for it and that others will be able to hear it now that it'll be back in print.
