I love to tube roll. Andy at Vintage Tube Services is my go-to-guy, next is Brent Jessee. Andy's tubes are cream of the crop NOS and very well tested. They're not cheap, but I've never had a failure or a tube turn microphonic. Brent is also trustworthy, but when adding the fee for matching and noise testing he's in the same price range as Andy.
Both of these dealers offer exchanges, which is a real plus for me.

I've also had success with Tube World Express. They have a rating system for each tube that's for sale. Some are true NOS and some are pulls that test NOS.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I called Vintage Tube Services and Andy gave me some advice on tubes to try in my amp. The prices seem reasonable.

I have an order coming in from The Tube Museum - NY. A pair of NOS 1961 Bugle-Boy 6922 Amperex. First order from these guys so we'll see how it goes.

I've seen The Tube Museum website when searching for tubes. There's good information here and premium tubes listed, but where are the prices?

I see prices right on their site. Take another look. Looks like if you don't see a price they don't have it stuff they have is priced.

OK thanks, I see the prices on the home page. But the tubes I'm interested in have no price, that means they're out of stock.

Thanks. They look like a dealer who really knows tubes. Test results published on every listing, I like that.

I ordered multiple times from him too. Yes. He can be slow to respond, but I think this is because he's one man show. All items ordered arrived as advertised.
Bought a bunch of 7N7 from him (thanks Encore) and they are very decent low cost NOS alternative to 6SN7's.

    Regards

Sadly it's a trend on where this market is heading....paying through the nose on genuine NOS that test well. Prices seem consistently like this for 50s/60s NOS when I go to Tube World Global or Brent Jessee as well. I buy used for less from individuals as well but it's a bit more of a gamble. Love to find some less expensive sources of quality NOS tubes!

Agree. The prices are consistent with NOS tubes that have been matched and noise tested to high tolerances by the top dealers. This is how the business works now to get high quality and rare tubes.
