    That's what I call a hot take.

I dig the **** out of harpsichords and if a musician is feeling the spirit, let them have their solo.

There's a Love (band) song that comes to mind but I can't recall the name at the moment.

I wouldn't ever want to hear this song without the harpsichord.

It can't be a true psychedelic without a harpsichord.

I love the harpsichord, adds quite a flavor to a song !

However I the one I think ruins a song too many times is the saxophone, no instrument takes the wind out of a song like a misplaced/unnecessary sax solo, especially in an aggressive rock song.

I like the harpsichord. When I was young my dad got a mail order harpsichord that he assembled (primarily with glue). The black and white keys were reversed from the piano, and the strings were plucked rather than hammered. I love the use of the harpsichord in Jimi's "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" and Sparks "Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth." It gives everything a stately feel.

I agree. The problem ain't harpsichord, it's that 90% of songs with saxophones shouldn't have them.

The sax solos on the Stones' "Rip This Joint" -- certainly an aggressive rock song -- work brilliantly.

Deep Purple's "Blind" has a great harpsichord riff in a great song.

Isn't there a harpsichord on "See Emily Play"? During that "crazy" section? How could anyone not love that?

If used to highlight the heaviness of what is going own around, I do not mind the odd harpsichord in rock. Isn't there one in Black Sabbath's "The Writ"?
