Is there much session tapes survives from Del Fi era? That tracking sessions excerpts of Never To Be Forgotten with fuzz guitar are amazing!

Sadly many Del-Fi multitrack masters for many artists are lost.

Did single master of Magic Touch got lost? It sounds very crummy on Del-Fi box set (Never To Be Forgotten).. The rest sounds good

ALL STILL-EXISTING MASTER TAPES WERE SOURCED FOR THIS COLLECTION.

So were any songs from alternate sources?

Not directly related but i've found that single version of Saturday Night is TOTALLY different version than on any El Paso era compilations! All versions sounds inferior to this take. Where i can find this in decent quality besides original 45?

+1. Alan Brownstein is credited as the Mastering Engineer on every Now Sounds CD I own, and I pretty much own them all.

    Looking forward to this release.

A reminder to anyone who isn't familiar with the "Now Sounds" label. All their release are great and if you like the era of music they cover you need to check their catalog. Excellent music, excellent packages, and wonderful sound.

"Now Sounds" would be a good home for reissues of Lesley Gore's Mercury era. I'd love a Mono Albums collection, and a Complete Mercury Singles set. The Shirelles and the Chiffons are also long overdue individual sets gathering their mono mixes together.

The stereo mix of "My True Love" is faster. This track (sourced from the original single master tape) matches the pitch/tempo found on the original 45.

Any hints or flat out facts about future releases? I wish you could do 1 release a month. More Association releases with unreleased material? Also, Paul Revere and the Raiders releases? Any chance of a pre-Columbia complete set, with unreleased tracks. I'm dreaming, but it would be a nice release that would sell more than a few copies.

Today I have received the cd. I think the sound quality is good for a small label from the 60s. Here are the dynamic range values for this album and the stereo album "I Fought The Law" which I also own:

The booklet has really good information about the songs.

I have compared "I Fought The Law" from this new album with the single version of the 3-cd-set "Never to Be Forgotten: The Mustang Years" (released 1998 - lossless download file). I heard it with my headphone and I can't hear any differences between the two versions.

I did not expect anything. I wanted to be surprised by the result or not.

WTG....this sounds amazing. This is the best "Magic Touch" has ever sounded. I wish you could get a hold of the BF4 box set. and reissue it
    with your magic.
