I heard four or five songs by this band in 1967-68. One was the big hit Ding Dong the Witch is Dead; a second was the Snow White-themed follow-up Heigh Ho, and one was Coney Island Sally (already posted). I wonder if this is a fourth; I definitely like it: The Fifth Estate, You Came Along:
This is a lovely, haunting pop-psych number. Apparently, Richard Twice was from California, and released an album and a single in 1970, and then drifted into obscurity?
You may have heard the late 60s song, "Windmills of Your Mind", but I doubt if you've heard the version by Petula Clark. (It wasn't released as a single.) However, it's one of my favorite versions.
The Beaux Jens - She Was Mine The Beaux Jens formed in Grand Ledge/Michigan in 1966 and broke up two years later. "She Was Mine" was the B-side to their sole single "Trouble Baby", released on the Sound of the Sceen label in 1967.
Not bad ... In my YouTube suggestions list for that song, this one popped up, and it's pretty good - Danny and the Counts, Ode to the Wind:
The Reddlemen - I'm Gonna Get in that Girl's Mind Garage band from Angleton/Texas. They cut this one 45 in 1966. Released on the Custom label out of Tyler/Texas.
North Bridge Company - Strange Land Strange People Obscure band from Peoria/Illinois. They just released one single in 1968 on the Sand "G" label. Supposedly, "Crying All Alone" is the A-side, but I like the B-side better: "Strange Land Strange People" with its vocal harmonies, great organ sound and light psychedelic feel.
IT'S A HAPPENING THING - Peanut Butter Conspiracy. ELIZABETH BRIDGE - The Puppy. WAR OR HANDS OF TIME - Masters Apprentices. BELIEVE IN ME - Throb. GOLDEN LIGHTS - Twinkle
