Season Hubley in Escape from New York.
Missed by the fact that i didn't know who she was .......... and that she was his wife at the time [in the '80's VHS era] until listening to the DVD commentary.

Richard Donner does have an uncredited bit part in The Goonies as a cop. He also had a cameo in Superman II which was (not surprisingly) cut, though it was added to some television broadcasts of the film.

Harry Dean Statton in Avengers (first movie) when Hulk/Banner falls from sky and lands in an empty warehouse.

Ron Wood (Stones) as a party goer raiding fridge in Cameron Crowe's The Wild Life an 80's movie, it also has Lee Ving (the band Fear) in it sitting on couch eating and drinking.
Oddly he (Lee Ving) is in the movie Clue and plays/acts a great role.

Iggy Pop plays a Zombie in a new this year direct to stream, that has Adam Driver and Bill Murray. It was a fun watch of Dark Comedy.

I know many more though still moving a little slow this morning

Thanks! I didn't know Donner was in "Goonies", which makes me feel like a dope, as a) I know what Donner looks/sounds like well, and b) I just watched the movie recently! :hide:

At least there's easy-to-find evidence of Donner's cameo. Took me 3 seconds to find it online.

Still zero that Spielberg was in the movie! :)

    Right, lol .
It is a good fun dark comedy, I recommend it as a film for what it is made to be.
It's not a masterpiece but a ride. I believe it is made by Jim J (cant spell his name), the guy who did the Gimme Danger movie/doc and other cool indie films/docs

And there’s a difference between the above and “before they were famous” extras. Jason Alexander in The Exorcist comes to mind. Cameo-wise, I had seen Double Indemnity numerous times before finding out Raymond Chandler had a cameo in that one.

I believe so. I never read it anywhere, and never read any confirmation of it, but I noticed a dead ringer for him in a crowd scene early on in the film.

He would have been a teenager (13-14), but search it on YouTube. There’s a clip.

    Here's the link on youtube.

The poster even says "not really"- but feels it looks like him.

    Yeah, that's not Alexander.

That guy is clearly way older than 13, which was JA's age at the time...

Or, as he was billed onscreen, "Walter Matuschanskayasky". :D

Man, for years, I thought that was his real name and he shortened it for Hollywood.

Nope - he was born "Matthau"!

    Mind blown!

Actually it's his voice....once you realize it's him , his Bronx accent is pretty unmistakeable. He's on the phone with Mia Farrow, as the actor who went Blind (if I remember correctly), thus allowing her husband John Cassevettes to get his role

Speaking of William Castle, he also has a cameo in John Schlesinger's The Day of the Locust, as the director of the ill-fated Napoleon film within the story.

Noel Neill, who played Lois Lane in the Superman film serials from the '40s and early '5os and the '50s TV series Adventures Of Superman, made an uncredited cameo in the 1978 Superman film as Lois Lane's mom. Also in the '80s, she had a credited appearance in the Superboy TV series and also one in the 2006 Superman Returns film as Lex Luther's elderly wife on her deathbed.

Most people who knew these facts probably read or heard about them beforehand. I doubt many would've recognized her if they didn't know already.
