I'm convinced that I'll never own a copy of the DCC "Ringo" unless I happen across one while used cd shopping. :( The Ebay prices for this are always way beyond me. $66 with 6 days left to go?! Wonder how high this one will go?

Definitely. NO CD is worth that much. And in the unlikely chance I happen to come across one on my used shopping, you can guess where that thing is going in a heartbeat: ebay.

I have the LP, which is fun...but not something I'd spend that much money on (unlike HWY 61, which I did and don't regret, and Pet Sounds, which I will someday). Probably feel the same about Elvis and Nat King Cole too.

But it's all taste, after all. YMMV :D

Patience is the name of the game. You'll probably come across one at the right price when you least expect it. :)

ABC-Dunhill Compact Discs are the audiophile standard, Jamie...second in quality only to their LPs ;)

Heh, I thought so to Craig. After looking for 3 years I eventually ended up paying $71.00 for mine. This one has never gone cheaply that I have seen regularly beating the old eBay path. It has gone as high as $161.00 though on a few occasions. :sigh:

Well, it has paid off for me so far. Can't say that I've tried to actively seek out this title. As much as I love to have it, you're definitely right saying this one doesn't go cheap. I remember even seeing a beat up copy on half.com for over $50. This might be the one you might have to try and seek out at a used store...and believe me, I check for it each time I go out because you never know. :)

I found a used copy of this title last year - probably July or August. The inserts were mint, but the CD had a few tiny scratches and a lot of greasy fingerprints. I washed it and put it in a new case and it's now gorgeous. Of course, it doesn't sound too bad, either.

Best part... I paid $10.99 plus tax. I almost had a heart attack when I saw it at that price. I usually won't buy anything unless it is stone mint, but I happily made an exception in this case!
