Gee this thread could really derail, eh? o_O:laugh:

She says in the 90s I used to watch a detective show a lot. Male and female. The female was named Molly, or something with an M

M for Mystifying maybe because I have no idea what she is talking about. I don't even watch much TV! I can't even think of too many male/female detective shows. Moonlighting comes to mind but I don't know that I ever saw a full episode. I asked if she was getting confused with Star Trek: Whatever Spinoff but she says not Trek.

I'm at a loss! Yes yes about many things ha ha ha. If you can plug this one up it will ease my mind.

    X-Files???
She might be getting confused thinking the females name began with M when it was the male and the name was Mulder.

Only one I can think of is Dempsey and Makepeace...?

However, 'M' could mean marriage? Is she trying to remind you that 30 years together = Pearl/Diamond wedding anniversary?

I'd buy a cake pronto :D Heck, buy one anyway - cakes are always nice.

Hmm, for purposes of gift giving can I pretend that is the "paper" anniversary, and get her a home origami kit?

If you're asking members of an audiophile forum for answers then I would say you probably need to seriously improve communications with your wife instead ..

    X-Files
    is the winner!
After all, how many other places could you post such vague information from someone who had it all totally mixed up and actually get the right answer? :p
