Maybe you went to the bathroom during that scene or something. She does kind of stick out in the movie.
No - I just don't know her well enough to recognize her right off. Saw the movie twice - once in theater, once on BD. Did go to bathroom during the "Lancer" shoot but not during the Spahn Ranch scene. Went to the bathroom during BD but paused it! I'm familiar with Dunham but just not enough that I recognized her in the movie...
Same here. I'm not really familiar with Dunham either but after googling, I suspect her personal attitudes and controversies might be distracting to some. I am more familiar with Fanning, but did not recognize her until it was pointed out. It's an unglamorous look, which is completely appropriate for the character. The scene in the Spahn house is highlighted by the spooky music playing on the television that fits perfectly with the apprehension of what Cliff might find in that room. Is this from something older or is it original for the film? Love the Tennessee references common in QT films. Having had good local brews while in Chattanooga, I can have no doubt that Old Chattanooga Tennessee Lager is the "perfect beer". In response to the brief possible Brian Wilson scene, I have wondered if the two horse riders at the ranch are references to someone we might know. It's Connie, who "used to ride horses every day back in Tennessee" and Curt:
I’ll be thinking of you guys when I sit down to watch Wim Wenders’ Wings Of Desire tonight. You guys would probably neuter it to an hour. I’m kidding, kinda.
Wrote by John Philips / Michelle Phillips in 1965, (I think), and recorded by Barry McGuire originally. Then released by the Mamas and the Papas, John, Michelle, Mama Cass Elliot,....and Denny,??? somebody. Which bring to one of the musical tragedies, (at least to me), of the movie. Buffy Sainte-Marie's version of "The Circle Game". I KNOW I KNOW,... it was a hit for her in that time and thus appropriate for the film but..... It is such a beautiful song from Joni, especially when she sings it. The Buffy version really grates on me. Plus I love Joni Mitchell,..I'm going to marry her.
Absolutely not! Wouldn't touch it. Great film! Can I come over? In reality though, it was a bit long when,....KIDDING, ..just kidding over here!
Ok, just googled California Mountain Snake and got pics of the California Mountain King Snake. Holy crap!!! Now I'm going to have nightmares!
Saw him a few times down North Wells area bars. We used to go to the Second City and ETC midnight shows back in the day. Always like him. Too bad we lost him so early. Same for Belushi.
