    I couldn’t make it
Out either. Lol. “Great f*** no?”

What’s funny about that bit Is it’s DiCaprio exactly imitating John Travoltas manerisms in Pulp Fiction. Auteurism at it finest. Quentin directing like Sergio Leone, extracting exact reactions from actors (although people like DiNiro hate being directed that way). Either that or Leo rewatched Pulp Fuction. Lol.

Here’s why Los Angeles will forever be the home of “Pulp fiction” anf Tarantino, to me. We wandered in this club last night as a live band struck up some Dick Dale chords and I was in Pulp Fiction heaven. This was at Harvard and Stone, a “Berlin-style” club in Thai Town. Pulp Fiction Forever: I love LA

Ps Mods This contains no NSFO images. It’s a regular bar. And this is a cabaret performance on high beams

I’m really enjoying this podcast. Thanks for the recommendation. She does make a couple of errors in the first few episodes however (Beatles related) that have me wondering if there are other mistakes that I’m just not catching. All that aside it IS pretty good.

Glad you're enjoying it. I remember noting those errors at the time but overall I think she covers the story with the right spirit and with the breadth it needs. In something this sprawling, I can forgive a few errors. Most of her writing seems well-researched.

  9. I note there are actor credits, so: is this more of a docudrama or something with lots of reenactments than a straight documentary?

The Vega Brothers never happened, unfortunately. I would love to see a prequel series on Netflix with Tarantino writing and/or running the show. Madsen and Travolta could narrate each episode as a separate story with other actors playing their younger selves. And you can throw in Ving Rhames, Tim Roth etc. to add their own parts.
    Hardly will happen, though.

I thought they fell out? Kinda like Uma Thurman, she never worked with him again ( wasn't offered a role ) since Kill Bill.

Remember reading John Travolta was so impressed with Pulp Fiction he wanted to work with QT again. Madsen on the other hand has worked with QT since, he's also in his latest film. I think there was a ego clash thing going on with QT & JT .. Travolta (Royal with cheese) was effectively the main star of Pulp Fiction.

Every once in a while she has a voice actor deliver a quote from one of the principal characters. Most of it though is her doing narrative.

Uma was badly injured in a car crash while shooting Kill Bill and was quite displeased with QT.

This trailer looks and feels like
Pulp Fiction is kind of responsible for Travolta's career being brought back from the dead. You'd think Travolta would be begging to be in another QT movie

JT is probably insulted he's never been asked back. Ironically Tarantino's most memorable film Pulp Fiction ( a classic ) the movies two main stars Travolta /Thurman have not worked with him in years, decades.

But Thurman did work with him again in Kill Bill(s). Just not since.
