If all The Beatles threads were merged there would be , by my count , 198, 655.482 posts give or take.I wouldn't live long enough to read 'em.

    I never got it.
Years ago I joined another music forum. After a couple of days I posted a thread ( somethng about Dylan ). About an hour later I saw it had gotten a few responses. Oh thought I , that's nice. The first comment was from someone who told me in capital letters : THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE and referred me to a few threads
of a similar nature. The second response
advised me to ignore the first tesponse adding it was pretty much all that forum resident did all day.

I am s-l-o-w-l-y learning to just ignore threads that are a waste of time to me.
It's too bad it's like 65% of threads now, when it used to be maybe 25% a few years ago.
I understand the demographic here has changed drastically since I joined in 2007.
    Points of interest are different.

If you guys like this kind of conversation, enjoy it!

I'll butt out. Or at lest try to.

As I said above, I'm trying to just ignore this kind of stuff. if you think it's interesting for folks to just post a list of records they like, cool. Apologies for being abrasive.

A few years ago it was indeed more fun - to ME- to have conversations and threads about technical stuff, or arcane knowledge about artists, well-thought out opinions about an artist's output, knowledgable and helpful talks about sound quality, and so on. This wasn't a boring, run-of-the-mill, unmoderated music forum. That's why I joined. I'm sure you'll have fun here despite old guys like me gettin' all grumpy.

Probably why there are so many identical threads, too much idle time...

    Just curious

  16. The #1 album of all time is "Pot Sounds" by The Surf Sluts.

I always hear the voice of the Simpsons’ Comic Book Guy in my head whenever I read a post like that. And there’s at least one in nearly every thread.

As for the original question, I’d have to cast another vote for ‘Abbey Road.’
