All I've bought so far is the latest Bruce Springsteen 1975 concert download from Nugs. Next will probably be the Get Back Blu-ray.

 

I've bought 5 Pretenders CD singles. It's my project at the moment. To collect all their CD singles.

Last month I spent $100 on bookshelf speakers and a teeny amp so I could stream iTunes in the kitchen where I spend a lot of time with the laptop and reading. That also gave me the means to listen to music I heard about here and elsewhere along with a vow to buy no more albums.

I held my resolve for exactly two weeks then ordered something that used to be a staple of my listening, unavailable on iTunes and had missed for decades:

A year later:

Total music purchases for 2022 = 37

CDs : 36
Vinyl : 1

Probably 3 or 4 Bandcamp downloads as well.
Can't remember.

 

I bought 89 CDs this year. Also one vinyl single and a handful of cassettes.

 

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 700. I ordered a few more last night. only two (the BD of Pink Floyd's Animals and ZZ Tops Raw) will come before the end of the year. There are a lot of variables involved so unless I do some heavy calculating I can't give a hard count. Why bother? Evidence like that lying around would only get me in trouble .

I'm looking at Discogs but there are a number of older items that I've found the need to re-rips on there. I add things to my Discogs library during the ripping process. Also I don't add any downloads I've bought to Discogs. So the real number is up in the air.

LOL, that sounds all too familiar... As to how many more I've gotten myself, I don't have an answer and I'm not going to take the time to come up with one, but most likely it's in the high 3 digits or low 4 digits, and mostly CDs; maybe only a 100 or so LPs.

 

For 2022 I bought approximately 300 Lps !!

Never would have expected that.

CDs are albums sir. I get what you mean though. It seems like since Covid. I want to get my hands on as much music as possible.
