Yes, as @Scope J corrected earlier it’s England not London. And in retrospect, I agree with them - nothing can save that steaming hot turd of an album.

Too bad they had to end their career on a low note. At least all the previous albums are classics

Bought on the strength of the title track. The rest just dreck. It's on blue vinyl. One track and blue discs. That's it.

I bought the LIBN CD a while after it was released and it was the first time I ever heard that album. Imagine what it was like to hear the "original" after that..

In my opinion it's the only song that's better than 'okay.'

Nikita saves Elton John's Ice On Fire.

Draw The Line somewhat salvages Aerosmith's album of that name.

I thought the entire album was brilliant. His best album of the 1980s

That album has a lot going for it: The Other Side of Summer, Sweet Pear, All Grown Up, So Like Candy, How to Be Dumb--there's some great stuff on there.

I thought that song was on their England Calling album.

I agree with your first sentence. The second one, not so much.

I'll say Levon saves Madman Across The Water. Tiny Dancer, meh. Title track, ok... Everything else is forgettable.

After a bunch of bad songs, and a few mediocre ones, An Awful Thing To Waste closes the album. That song saves the album, and is the reason why it is in my collection. I really like it!

“Bludsucker” on “Abandon” by Deep Purple saves an otherwise boring and unstructered album for me.
And it is actually just a bonus track tacked on at the end and a re-recording of “Bloodsucker” from “In Rock”.
Maybe it does not save the album after all - which is their worst ever.
Maybe I am just happy it wakes me up and makes me realise the album is close to being over.

Lots of good songs on Moby Grape ‘69 but Seeing is at a whole different level!

For me one track alone cannot save any album...

And Infidels could have been even better had Dylan included Blind Willie McTell and Foot of Pride. To make room, chop Neighborhood Bully and Union Sundown.
