This to me is the one of the most inadvertently hilarious results of amateurish songwriting.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin are among the worst offenders, though by no means the only ones.

What are some of your favorite examples?

  2. I realize this isn't an example of what you're looking for but hearing it stresses me out :

The Rascals' use of an open nindor turned one of their classic songs into arguably the first pop hit promoting a ménage à trois.

This post is actually the only result when searching for 'Open nindors'. So I still have no idea what the OP meant by his post. Only that I disagree with his statement that Bernie Taupin & Elton John are amateurish songwriters.

„Love Song“ from the the album Tumbleweed Connection“ was written by Leslie Duncan, not by Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

That does not change the fact that the song amateurishly uses an open nindor. :righton:

But there are examples of Elton and Bernie using open nindors in their songs. I guess they learned from the best. :righton:

You'll be interested to learn that Elton and Bernie wrote neither "Dreams" by Fleetwood Muck nor the Rascals song about the menage, both of which use open nindors. :righton:

Make up a phrase and then get all pissy when nobody knows what it means? Swell idea for a thread.
