I've been using Discogs to help me label song files of my Blue Note collection. In doing so, I am astounded at the prices of some of the original LP's being sold. Who in their right mind would pay thousands of dollars for a single LP? Also, what makes these so rare? Did they make like 4 of them? well, in the lower example, Sonny Clark, for example, the last sale was August, 21st, 2021 .. so either no demand or they are priced way too high and no one is buying them
Blue Note First Pressing Quantities if i'm interpreting this correctly it looks like an initial pressing may have been ~2500 copies. probably not many of them are still around today and even less that are in M/NM condition
