How about this, great isn't it?

 

I've never seen these pictures before . Where the heck were they taken ?
John playing a Jazzmaster, some other guy in the background playing guitar, and it looks like they are sitting in at a party or something...after falling in the pool ?

 

They look like great mates don't they? Completely off guard and relaxed

 

No idea behind the circumstances though ?

I've seen almost all of the other pictures that have been posted , but yours really threw me for a loop ! Great ! Thanks for posting them.

 

A friend of mine emailed them to me just last week, have no idea about when/where/why. Like you I thought I'd seen everything but these were completely new to me, and left me smiling

 

I was just kidding about the pool , but what's the deal ? I gotta think that they just sat in and played a song or two, they weren't playing a gig out in the hot sun. Nobody I know gets sopping wet playing a song or two, sitting down, without stage lights beating down on them..

P.S. Yes, it's totally cool seeing pictures where they are out of their normal element.
I hope that someone will know the circumstances behind the picture.

P.S. Matching black shirts on the Fabs. Were these taken at an after party after the 1965 or 1966 NME concert, or some other concert or TV show appearance where they worked up a big sweat ?

 

The guy behind, not playing, looks like a current Keith Richards, so maybe Lennon and McCartney are alive and well and unchanged in the last 40 years We can hope

Howabout this airbrush job by a zealous retoucher?
I'm sure parents found "our boys" less threatening without all that nasty hair!
