Not ever having been much of a radio listener (though I've done a radio show for 14 years!), "overplayed" isn't a concern for me.

    So ...

    Good Vibrations
    Black Dog
    Roundabout

I can listen to 'em a hundred times in a row!

I'm not necessarily a big CSN fan, but I don't not like them. However, I LOVE this song.

That's actually a staple of tv bumper music(Satuday Night Live, Oprah) and tv commercial background music(Toyota, banks, cleaning products) in the US. The much darker single "(If There's Hell Below) We're all Gonna Go" was the actual hit song from that LP over here.

As a former oldies/retro DJ, I recall "Sugar Sugar" and "Spirit In The Sky" being the leader in their categories for getting scheduled (which is a function of the computer software seeing various restrictions on various titles, due to not wanting female artists playing too many at a time without a group or males in-between, or too many "Motown-y" songs, or rock-y songs not separated by pop-y songs, and various other criteria), because they had seemingly no sound-code restrictions on them that would keep them from playing as many times as other titles in the same categories. So, even if they were in categories that would "try" to play evenly, these two had a far higher rate of getting scheduled into the music logs.

But every time I triggered the "next song" and it was either of those, I knew I had a winner, no matter how "burned" these two were. The audiences' collective mind was always "in the mood" when these hooks fired-off.

We used to call that, "neck music"...'cuz of the way it made your neck and your chin dance.
