Panasonic DVD recorder

    I'm interested in buying the Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD recorder. I already have an earlier Panasonic recording model and like it a lot but this new model has an internal 40 Gig hard drive and a firewire input for my video camera. Does anyone know if you can do any basic editing on the hard drive? The guys at Best Buy seemed confused as to the concept.
