    PART TWO (2)

Same format; vote your three (3) favorite vocalists that reach out - and into you.

    DIFFEFENT list than original thread.

This one is less singer-songwriter centric than first poll. I used feedback from posters’ responses to first poll, reputation and those who were considered for first poll, but no room was left.

Still missing your favorites? Of course, this is inevitable, BUT PLEASE write in your OTHER picks in a post, I left off the “other” as a choice to include more choices.

    Thanks! And VOTE!

    Elvis Presley
    Stevie Winwood
    Van Morrison

But I could've chosen Sandy Denny and Peter Gabriel, too.

    Others:

    Frank Sinatra (all-time favorite singer)
    Linda Ronstadt

I forgot to mention that I left out Mr. Sinatra as part of a grouping that is - in my eyes - so incredible and popular that it would absorb so many votes, taking away attention from the other incredible voices listed.

    ( Frank, John, Paul, Mick, Roger D, Robert P, Ray D, )

Apologies to any and all of your favs that were left off.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

"Diana" only has one "n" in her name.

From this list, I may like a lot of them, but, I can't see a single one that connects with me. They are all too off-ish.

Nat King Cole was my first choice, followed by Ray Charles and Etta James.

Also, don't use all caps on thread titles. :D

Why (almost) only very old and dead vocalists?

Here some others with great vocals, but still alive and kicking:
Liz Fraser, Lisa Gerrard, Nina Hagen, Eddie Vedder, Sia, Alicia Keyes, Mark Lanegan, Stuart Staples, Bjork, Thom Yorke

    Honorable Mention:
Most of the rest of the list! (Joe Cocker & Leon Russell I merely like... everyone else I love, to varying degrees)

Funky54 Coat Hangers do not sound good

    I’d add
    Ty Taylor - Vintage Trouble
    Jay Buchanan - Rival Sons
    Ray Bonneville
    AJ Croce
    Eric Martin - Mr Big
Paul McCartney - Boys to Men
    John Lennon - Menudo
    Ann Wilson - Heart
    James Dio
    Brad Delp - Boston

Heck there are so many... three will never do. And here’s the clincher.. is it the choice of songs, lyrics, backing band the “reason” for who you think speaks to you may be due to a lot of factors.

Here’s an example... Gram Parsons phrasing, lyrics and emotion really move me, but let’s be honest, he’s a terrible singer. I voted for him.
