Very funny!! Technically, he said "This is for the Wings fans." He didn't say, "Here's a Wings song.." He probably know every Wings fans is nuts about RAM. But every Beatles and solo Mac fan may not be.... Just kidding. He meant it the other way! Cheers!
Yeah, that Paul can be funny at times... Plus you got to chuckle at all of the non-Wings songs on the Wingspan collection too.
No, only Paul was inducted as Paul, which included anything that he recorded post-Beatles. But Wings was not specifically singled out as an entity and thus Wings was not inducted as a band.
Hi Paul, I have both and can confirm: Black vinyl: Capitol 00602577295189 Milk (with a bit of blue) vinyl: Capitol 00602577285424 Hope that helps - of course the sleeve spine has the black vinyl no. on both copies - its the hype sticker and the extra barcode sticker on the colour vinyl that has the difference. Cheers Phil
Working info is those two are pushed back to 2020 and Flaming Pie is coming this year. Seems things change rapidly and often over at good 'ol MPL, so who knows what information is stable anymore?
I wanted to thank you both for these comments. When I got my most recent batch of vinyl from Musicvaultz (CA), I was disappointed. My experience wasn't as bad as either of yours, but it wasn't ideal. I had the new colored vinyl of Amoeba, Paul is Live, CHOBA and WOA, plus the black vinyl of Amoeba. All five had been "bumped" due to poor/insufficient packaging on one corner. On the one hand, I knew the damage wasn't too severe, and some of the items were "sold out" on their site (or had higher pricing), but I figured I'd complain anyway. They asked for a photo of the damaged items and offered a credit of $50 for a future purchase. I can live with that.
Okay. You posted: So that is where I got the idea of a 2020 release (However, I erred in saying that it was the month of January). As for the next Archive release being Flaming Pie (and not London Town/Back To The Egg): So not definitive, but that's what I read here.
You took two rumors — Flaming Pie in 2019 and London Town/Back to the Egg in 2020 — and combined them into Flaming Pie in 2020. There's no need to split the difference. Both rumors could be true (or false!).
As long as we're getting something in the archive collection this year, I'll be happy. But I must admit I was hoping for the last 2 Wings albums.
Can we get some kind of hint or confirmation on this? And why in the world would they release it in January???...…...the Big Barn Box even cut it close last year by being released around December 10th!
No confirmation, no official news but rumors... January is not a good month so, I doubt that rumor is true.
Yeah, SHM is just materials used to make a CD. It's the same 16/44.1 redbook digital file, so it will sound the same... unless it gets a new mastering like the recent Elton John releases.
