I've said it once and I'll say it again: I love you, Mike.

It looks more to be part of the reissue vinyl and cd campaign rather than an archive collection boxset. I don’t see enough bonus material in this to become a boxset. Hopefully I’m wrong!

    CD/Vinyl/Colored Vinyl.
Perhaps a streaming release for the completer than complete Live At Amoeba?

I remember paying $100 for Choba at a CT Beatles convention about a week after The NY Times said they were going for $700 on the black market.
Looks like I'll be spending some more on it now.
    Fantastic album btw

There's enough for it to be a 2CD/1DVD release.

    Disc 1: 14-track album.
    Disc 2:
    - It's Now Or Never
    - I Wanna Cry
    - Cut Across Shorty
    - No Other Baby
    - Poor Boy
    - Take This Hammer
    - Lend Me Your Comb
    - Don't Get Around Much Anymore [live on The Last Resort]
    - Lawdy Miss Clawdy [live on The Last Resort]
    - I Saw Her Standing There [live on The Last Resort]
    - Jet [live on Wogan]
    - Listen To What The Man Said [live on Wogan]
    - Let It Be [Live Aid remake]
    - Get Back [Prince's Trust]
    - Long Tall Sally [Prince's Trust]
    - I Saw Her Standing There [Prince's Trust]

    DVD:
    - video of a lot of those CD 2 live performances
    - new interview?
    - whatever else MPL can dig up

Those were studio re-recordings, that Paul would use for TV promo performances (playback)
And the "new" Jet version ROCKS!

There's debate over whether or not the vocal was live.

You'll never make me believe these vocals are live

Eh, it always sounded to me like the vocal track was prerecorded and that he was singing live along with it (hence the double sound). But like I said, there's debate and I don't know anything conclusively.

A combo with the Unplugged album would be cool. Then you could have the video. Maybe I just lump them together though cause in my mind the covers are so similar. (Which had to be intentional right?)

The covers are even more similar when you compare Unplugged to the CD version of Choba. But I think that's just supposed to be that way because they are "bootlegs." Otherwise they don't really go together at all.

I’d certainly love to see all this, but I’m afraid you’re being too optimistic.

I didn't say it's what they will do, I'm saying there is enough for a box release. No way that MPL goes for that live stuff as a bonus, sadly.

I think it will be the standard release, like last year, reserving the archival big boxes for the end of the year.

Unplugged is more lumpy than the Russia album. ;)

I admit I'm like a Shark smelling blood when it comes to Mike's posts...but well speculator's gonna speculate!
I would love it if it wound up being deluxe sets with video content but more then likely it will probably be another batch of reissues. If they do 4 like they did last year what do you think the other 3 will be? I would guess Unplugged, Run Devil Run and either Off The Ground or Flaming Pie...
My only problem with the last batch of releases were small things like The Chaos and Creation vinyl...why not just go all in and replicate the original release with the gatefold? Minor things like that grind my gears..but it is nice owning an affordable copy of Thrillington or a clean Wing's Greatest.

Earlier, @cmi said it will be Wings Over America, Paul Is Live, and Amoeba's Secret (Live in Los Angeles).

Interesting, isn't WOA still readily available from the last Archive issue?

Not in colored vinyl. It's the only one capital didn't rerelease, along with the already released, arhival releases.

I was thinking the same thing as I was watching. There does seem to be a doubling or strange echo. It is clearly a re-recording at least in part. The horn solos are different and possibly live.
