Hopefully not every solo album by the former Beatles will get a 50th anniversary reissue from now on. Can you imagine a Half-Speed edition of Wings At The Speed Of Sound?
I heard the list is being posted on February 29th for RSD. So far from leaks: McCartney 50th, instant karma remix and Ravi Shankar chants of India feat. George
Yep I seen that. He changed it to that about 2 days after I heard that was coming out on RSD. I'm pretty excited, I really love that album and bought the CD on release day.
Online it's saying that it's opening late 2020. Maybe they haven't set anything in stone yet. That could also explain why no Archives are presently slated for the 1st quarter of 2021, since new material also takes top priority.
Ok, Ram in the spring and Wild Life in November would make sense [calendar-wise], if we are assuming MPL will do this for all the solo albums. We can hope. But I'm not holding my breath on this one. Why only stereo MMT? Why not add a mono Yellow Sub EP [as was planned at one point and scrapped]?
Well from what has been hinted at for the FP box set, one will be very hard pressed to say it is not worth it, especially for an album many consider in Macca's top 5 post Beatles albums!
I think some titles won't be announced at the same time, the Lennon one has a different announcement day and no clue with Harrison. Time to move to "forthcoming releases" thread I think
I am not saying it's not worth it. I just said I don't buy everything they throw at me. If the difference, for example, between the normal 5 + 2 box set and the "suitcase" is the OOBU JOOBU, I won't buy the suitcase because I'm not that interested, it's simple. I'm not a compulsive guy. My opinion, of course
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high about this unheard bonus material rumored for 'Flaming Pie' but the pleasant surprise of the Costello-McCartney studio recordings on the 'Flowers In The Dirt' collection has me pretty optimistic.
