So much care and support for fellow fans - both newbies and veterans. I know I've already experienced this when I first got here. What a great group of people you all are!
I’m in for the Divine Comedy box as well! The postponing of the September London Barbican dates causing hotel and travel cancellations are part funding my Flaming Pue deluxe edition.
Seriously - it’s not so much the jacket, it’s the fact that he looks like he weighs about 500 pounds in the picture.
I call that whole 'Flaming Pie' era his "Fashion Faux-Paul" period with the climax being his umbrella video for "The World Tonight".
Mix between too much weed and being a middle aged Dad, ha. Beautiful Night has always been a fave whatever version but having Ringo on gives it that Beatle edge. Could just imagine it as a Beatles 90's song
Flaming Pie was just shy of the era in which Stella really started helping dear old dad with his style choices.
It makes Macca look like he is 300 pounds, I always disliked that cover.....a picture of a beautiful night (sunset) would have been great instead!
Saw the deluxe box for the cheapest price so far in the U.K. tonight on Zavvi UK , 199.00 with free delivery as well I think.
Hi, @Carl80, What Records in the UK have the deluxe for £179.99 + £8.00 postage on the UK. I’ve used them for Sgt. Pepper, White Album, Imagine and Abbey Road deluxe editions and received them all on release day. Hope this helps.
Is there normally a separation price and shipping thread by now? Is there one on this forum that I didn't see?
Oh, ok. I thought it was started before the release so people could more easily compare prices. I know there are prices in this thread but this thread has gotten so long that it is hard to find the latest prices.
Beautiful Night (1995 Demo) is the exact mix of the 1986 version and the final version. The structure and lyrics are closer to the 1986 version, but the chords changes are the same than the final version. Just Paul on piano. Just a shame it ends on a fade out.
