Did you find any major image quality upgrade on 'In The World Tonight" compared to the version we'd all seen before the re-release?

I had never seen it before so can’t comment on upgrade quality.

That’s not the Super Deluxe Edition but the Japanese “regular” Deluxe Edition with SHM-cd’s.

Yep, I ordered it as soon as I saw it. $118 seems very reasonable. Even with shipping costs and import fees, it's around half of what they are asking for it over here in Europe.

Is the new 2LP a significant upgrade in SQ compared to the original CD release?

So I bought the Deluxe Edition not knowing the Collector's Edition existed. With this being one of my favorite albums, I went for it and ordered the Collector's Edition. Good god, this is a huge set. Figured I'd take a comparison photo before I sold the Deluxe Edition set. Dire Straits CD was just one that I had handy to show the scale.

I was not expecting the Rough Version to have all these cool little additions that were left off of the released version. For me, this is one of the biggest surprises of the entire Archive Edition series.

Good luck getting it. I cannot stand them and their Canadian counterpart, Musicvaultz.
I had to cancel my Deluxe “Gimme Some Truth” that was purchased (from Musicvaultz) at a great price because they were unable to come up with any stock to ship. And I ordered that in August! Ended up getting it from Amazon in one day in late October) but at a $25 increase.

I just got the Deluxe edition recently but haven't listened to everything yet. I thought the packaging was very nice.

    Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I missed the Amazon offer for 118 and now the box is 176. Elsewhere is a lot more expensive. What are the odds of the price going down again?

Wow-that is crazy pricing. I have put all the box sets I'm still missing on my "wishlist" on Amazon, where I can just click on that list occasionally and it will tell you if the price has gone down since you added it to the list. That is where I noticed that the FP deluxe was down to $148 and that they had a $30 discount going on around Thanksgiving. Maybe do that and keep checking back.

I've got a number of Beatle related books in my list too and have been kind of shocked at how much the prices on the books fluctuate from day to day for no apparent reason.

If my health can get better, one of the several deluxe boxsets for me to try to get down the line.

I didn’t realize book prices were fluctuating. I used to buy them as I found them way back in the day new as I could afford them then and found them used at the used vinyl stores. There’s definitely some later books I’d like to have though almost need to put them in the basement with our huge supply of regular books.

I was really surprised to see that Amazon's book prices fluctuated so much. I had never noticed that before. I also have a pretty big book collection. I've bought some Kindle books but really prefer to have the real thing.
