just one big difference Mr. Wilson. He’s Paul McCartney and you’re not. He can get away with it and you cannot.
Why do you never have something positive to say? Do you always have those black clouds above your head wherever you go? Can you smile?
I guess this must be the calendar included with early orders for the Japanese red cover SHM-CD with 4 bonus tracks.
I think when his mom died, other than the overwhelming grief he had to endure, the family lost substantial income, no doubt adding to the stress of the situation. That marks you forever. So, your assertion is both ignorant and absurd. You just sound like you hate the guy - which is gross.
Wow, "Find My Way" sounds a heck of a lot like this. Which was originally written for the Beatles parody album Deface the Music, so irony abounds....(I really do like it though)
I've noticed that the longer rockers live isolated from the "real world", the harder it becomes for them to relate and even stay tethered to reality. But with Paul, his lyrics have long since been "detached" from having relatable meaning in almost every case. Fortunately, he's had some remarkable exceptions ("Here Today" is a perfect example). I never go into a new McCartney album expecting to be moved by his lyrics. It's the infectious melodies that keep me coming back for more. Even the cringey lyrics from Egypt Station can't keep me from this next release.
A close friend of mine died a slow agonizing death from cancer a couple of years ago - during his final days, this simple pair of lines rang through my head over and over and still move me. People want peace A simple release from their suffering I always find something in Paul's lyrics - always. So, I couldn't disagree with you more strongly.
I can relate to many of his later career songs. "Chaos And Creation" is an example of an album that moves me both musically and lyrically.
