My personal favorite is "One-Trick Pony". It's pure electric piano nirvana. Which is ideal for this record, as it captures the melancholy of the lyrics. A perfect urban nocturne album.

There Goes Rhymin" Simon has spent the most time on my turntable and in my CD player over the years, but I like them all.

When we play golf some of us walk around singing...
"I'm going to aceland"... so that would have to be my favorite.
    :^)

Another tune we'll whistle while playing is the theme from Sanford and Son when someone is a shankopotomus.

There Goes Rhymin' Simon - many of the tracks on this album got played on the local AOR station back in '73-'74, not just the hits. A solid album with great songs & production.

I've only heard Paranoid Blues played once on the radio.....it was the evening of 9/11

    I'd rank them:
    Paul Simon S/T
    Graceland
    Rhythm of the Saints
    There goes Rhymin

Still Crazy, the album isn't as great as critics made it out to be, IMO

I'm surprised more folks didn't vote for Still Crazy. That one has some great songs on it. I also think Hearts and Bones is underrated. At least 60% of it is brilliant.

One-Trick Pony. I understand it's not the best one, but I always recognize the difference between "best" and "favorite" (sic). We had this LP in our house growing up, so it sunk in. I also think it has some of his loveliest ballads on it, "Jonah" for example. :)

Great album, but the focus here is on his studio work.

The ballads really do stand out. Aside from the soothing quality of the electric piano, you can get really lost in the lyrics.

:righton: This is why polls are interesting. You never know which record is going to connect with someone the most.
