I couldn’t help notice the increased make up on Hardy showing lesions on his face and saw online fan theories that he could have siphilous or psoriatic arthritis. He mentions sciatica a few times.

Never seen this show myself, but they are filming this week at the Art Deco Stockport Plaza cinema, near to where I live.

My girlfriend took these photos on her lunch break:

Isn't this one originally a BBC production?

That’s my understanding. It’s not a Netflix program.

I tried an episode of Peaky Blinder but all the Cockney and mud turned me off and for some reason I can't stand looking at Cillian Murphy's face.

Peaky ? Got 1-4 dvd box( optimistic). This series is no blinder, I found.Hopefully it gets better, the first 4 episodes was a major fail. Story didn’t grab me,none of the actors/characters captured my attention. Then there’s the god awful rock (whatever )music.

It struck me as so over-the-top it felt like an R-rated version of "Newsies."

I’m surprised to hear that. This show kicked my ass the same way shows like SOA and Banshee did.

Only cost 20.00, win some lose some it's all the same, the ace of spades.
Can't a fellow a binge watch anymore. :) Think I'll have to watch Breaking Bad again to top up my aesthetic viewing meter.

There’s no Cockney accents in Peaky. It’s set in Birmingham.

You’ve finished the entire series? Or just 4 episodes?

R rated ? No nudity ( at least in the few episodes i seen ) a male bum, but I never found it that violent. Maybe later.

Four episodes. I found watching YouTube videos and google searching for stuff while watching the show(PB) at least tolerable ..and sometimes I'll focus on something remotely interesting. Needle in a haystack.

Maybe it's the Gilbert O'Sullivan haircuts, nothing rhymed.

I’ll plow on and watch the second disc, season 1.

Thinking of watching ( getting ) Endeavour another period setting series set in the 1960‘s.

Time to hit binge mode. It gets better each season. They keep adding memorable characters with Adrian Brody, Tom Hardy and others. And it definitely gets violent shortly.

Something I think separates it from other gangster shows is that it’s a great romance story as well.

You can't move in Brum for Cockneys.

Endeavour is good, just got into it myself recently and now hooked, need to go back and watch from the start.

As for Brummie accents, a lot of the actors hit it spot on with a few misfires (I'm born and bred so recognize it instantly). Some people mix up brummie and black country which can sound very different to our ears. oh and the cockneys are coming, when Tom Hardy arrives, his character deserves a spin off series IMO.

The iffy series out the bunch is the one with the Russians, series 3 I think, went a bit OTT for my liking.
