What an absolutely FANTASTIC thread. It just goes to show how w-i-d-e individual tastes and discernment is. Every one of the posters have valid reasons for their choices. I agree with many, disagree with many and, sorry to say, either haven't heard or even heard OF some of them!

I have some work to do!

    My short list is:

The Stones Let it Bleed, Exile, Sticky Fingers
The Beatles Let it Be !
    Dylan's Time out of Mind
    Junius Meyvant's Floating Harmonies
Tom Petty Wildflowers and Damn the Torpedoes
    John Hiatt Bring the Family
    Robert Cray Strong Persuader
The Jayhawks. Back Roads and Abandoned Motels and the older Smile album
Lucinda Williams Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
    The Panics Cruel Guards

    Close To The Edge
    Tales
    Relayer

    II
    Sheer Heart Attack
    A Night At The Opera

    Todd Rundgren:

    Faithful
    Hermit Of Mink Hollow
    Nearly Human
    Liars

    The Beatles:
    Revolver
    Abbey Road

    Elton John:
    Honky Chateau
    Don't Shoot Me
    Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

    Pink Floyd:
    Dark Side Of The Moon
    Wish You Were Here
    Animals

    Bob Dylan:
    Highway 61
    Bringing It All Back Home
    Blonde On Blonde
    Desire
    Oh Mercy
    Time Out Of Mind

I think some of the best albums ever have something or other less than perfect. I think Bob Dylan (Hwy 61, BOTT) and the Ramones (1st three and maybe 4th, but Bad Brain I don't know) both have several where every song is great. I think Radio City by Big Star keeps it up pretty good. Not sure why I thought of those, there might be a lot more I forgot.
