That was wonderful and made my morning ! Pete and Roger were clearly having a blast, and enjoyed the self - parody.

Based on the clips I saw of them in concert the other night in NYC, "sad and undignified" were the last things I was thinking.
I was thinking about seeing them here when they come soon.

Older acts can't win on this forum. They're always taking schitt from some armchair critic here. It gets tiresome...

...and who the ***** are you to tell them to stop...?;)

Loved it! What a great bit. Certainly beats the crap out of seeing the original used in a damn car commercial.

THAT WAS AWESOME! And Pete smashed it! Yes!

A great song thrives in most any version.

Roger is 75 years old. Pete is 73. They're not angry young men anymore, rebelling against the system and convention and "The Man." They're just having some fun. In the words of Warren Oates, a great actor, in "Stripes," "Lighten up Francis." The '60s are over.

I thought it was great. No tarnishing of the legacy here, just a bit of fun. And I usually avoid Fallon like the plague.

But I don't like the carpool karaoke thing. Probably because I can't stand Corden.

Sometimes I falter, but I have found peace of mind in recognizing that sometimes things just aren’t meant for me.

The point being, it’s ok for Rock Stars to make fun of themselves. :righton:

The Who's coolness is written in stone. We kind of got past Pete's online research, this doesn't even register. I actually kind of enjoyed it, but I wouldn't put time aside in my life for it. I'm not interested in seeing hard rock played by dudes in their mid 70s anyway. If I had the inclination to actually see a performance, my preference would be one heavily dominated by new material, including Endless Wire. Something that would reflect more where they're at as artists now. "Won't get fooled again" for me will always be the bands greatest song, but I don't want to hear it over and over.
