Would be exactly (ish) 20 years since the last album of original material.

Had hoped Flotsam and Jetsam would have received a physical release this year....but I will take a new album instead.

I started looked at the dates on the SH posts above as that project was mentioned in 2005 or so

Hope he does a more live spontaneous band recording than a homogenized over processed effort

17 songs in 10 days sounds encouraging for bringing in the basic tracks

Does he have another album in him?

    Probably tight lipped
No mention 0n Tony Levin’s website

Was about to post something similar. Hope it finally happens though. PG hasn’t been dormant, exactly, since UP…. But it sure seems like it.

Yeah. There seems to be debate about whether he's released a "new album" since 2002. I'm in the "nope" category! :D

Hopefully, there's a song or two about Christopher Knight's furniture collection.

That was news about 20 years ago! Great news, though, that there's now new news about this old news!

Have found his work post So to be turgid and uncompelling. So thats a third of a century of meh. But hope springs eternal.

Funny how many artists, especially ones in rock who had notable success early, have creative bursts that follow a kind of half-life pattern. They don't stop, they just radiate away!

That does not say it’s called I/O, but that original intended follow up to UP was to be called I/O. That was a long time ago, and whether he intends to keep the title is not confirmed.

The title was announced at least 15 years ago, so i’ll believe it when it’s out.

It’ll ofcourse be autobuy for me.

Whenever he releases a new album it would be awesome if he called it “peter gabriel” again with the same font in the corner and everything.

There's a song about a fabricated rock star that fit the suit called "Johnny Bravo".......also ..."Danny Bonaduce stole my girlfriend"

And re-created the first four covers with his current day look (though Collins already did that, but not for new material).

I find I return to Up more than any other PG album......even though there are albums I enjoy more, there is something that pulls me back to that album frequently. Sky Blue and Signal To Noise are phenomenal.
