    Hi guys,

A petition has been set up in the hope of enticing the Stones/ABKCO to release of all 3 MSG shows from the Rolling Stones 1969 Tour.

The Box Set of these full shows would be amazing.

We had a taste when someone did a dump on YouTube...but these were not full soundboard records nor were they full shows.

This is the link to the petition - sign away:

There's also a thread on the IORR.org website with further info...

Petition is up and running to get the msg 1969 shows released (iorr.org)

Get it out there...worth a crack...

This could be happening anyway and this is all just hype and publicity to get people talking about it.

The member on the IORR forum that started this effort is not affiliated with the Stones or ABKCO AFAIK and is not doing this for publicity and is just passionate about getting these shows released.

If Stones/ ABKCO are working on this and we don't know about it then there is no harm in the petition in any case yes? If anything it will reinforce that there is demand for such a release.

I can already imagine Mick seeing the petition with 500 signatures and stating "Blimey! I had no idea! Keef, what say we have a look-see in the cupboards and whether we can spiff this up for release?"

I don't think many more wanted Mick Jagger solo albums and he persisted with those! :)

Done. I also suggested sessions sets for each of the individual Decca albums. I still dream of an Aftermath sessions box.

Those 3 shows are ‘out there’ in fully mixed versions, released as copyright dumps.
    They are so great!!! Signed!!!

They were released by the official ABKCO YouTube channel. No idea why Oldham is tweeting about this petition. The ABKCO corp. is just sitting on them until a stalemate shakes itself out... or squatting on them, I guess

I was on guard duty at Fort Hood, TX, hitting rocks with a baseball bat, knowing my friends were at the Garden digging the Stones. That's one you don't forget.

All unreleased music done in the sixties, can’t be released without approving from the band. ABKCO released them as copyright extensions on Youtube but quickly took them down again.

Seen from the band’s perspective, they only will agree to unreleased material from ABKCO, if there is a third party involved. It has been like that for years: The BBC Sessions, Charlie Is My Darling, Ya-Ya’s Deluxe…

Okay. But how else would you lile to make ABKCO/The Stones aware that the fans wants this thing released? In these times it’s not exactly easy to get contact.

Why would the band approve a release that will only make them pennies on the dollar that someone else makes on it?

Or anywhere else that they have bargaining power — ABKCO is still collecting enormous sums, particularly from sync and streaming rights, as well as physical sales of product the Stones themselves lost all claim to fifty years ago. Why would they enrich that party further until things change?
