Before anyone gets hot and bothered by this apparent deal, you should know that people have had LOTS of problems with supposed "refurbished" TVs/monitors from Philips. We're talking broken out of the box, defective out of the box, broken/defective after only hours of use, etc. And Philips won't take them back, even if they're defective/broken out of the box. You will have to let a service tech come and try to fix it. Good luck if your service tech isn't that good, or if the TV has intrinsic flaws that can't completely be fixed.

How does a company "factory renew" a plasma TV anyway? If there are dead or stuck pixels, they can't surgically modify those pixels. They're little tubes of plasma gas. Whatever is on the screen, is there for good.

I wonder how many people will buy one of these, turn them on, and see some video game burned in? :D
