Interesting way you put that, unintentionally I'm hoping... a comma in between those two words would give it a less ominous context ... DP on the prequel trilogy, David Tattersall, stated in an interview with American Cinematographer in 1999 that George Lucas liked the 'hazy' look of the 1977 film and incorporated it for Episode I... and it's true; that film does have a very soft and diffused aesthetic; not at all like the sharper, high-contrast, saturated look of it's two digitally-shot successors. Yeah... 'moral support' ... Carrie was so young then, you should be ashamed of yourself, Harrison, tut tut ...
The pics aren't showing up for me, FWIW This party is actually significant in film history for at least one reason: apparently Boorman and Reynolds knew each other long before Deliverance. Boorman has always claimed he cast BR after seeing him on The Tonight Show.
Here's a shot from The Empire Strikes Back (1979-1980) I never saw, with Frank Oz on the right and George Lucas on the tiny set in the center... [pic courtesy of The Prop Gallery on Facebook]
