Surprisingly decent price. 58 pound for the deluxe set. Would have expected at least double that amount from Floyd.

After all that, the 5.1 mix is only available if you pay for the vinyl?

If that’s the case, I’ll probably pass. From what it looks like, there’s a 2011 remaster, 2018 remix, and the 5.1 version. Only the latter two are of interest to me, but I also rarely ever play surround mixes anymore.

So I have to take an LP that is useless to me to get the blu-ray?

    All of this.

LPs are great. The folks that are really really into them aren't into surround, and the folks that are really really into surround aren't into vinyl*. Why do they keep doing this??

*us freaky deaky types on here excluded, of course.

Wasn't there going to be a SACD release in 5.1 also or was that one of those things I imagined?

I hope the vinyl only deluxe is not the only way to get the 5.1. Just like the Rush sets… I have no vinyl so the big box only for 5.1 is a deal breaker for me. I hope we get some other options for us digital only folks ( and for the vinyl peeps that don’t want/need digital).

Yes, but why in the world would you want a nice succinct package like a hybrid SACD when you can pay for the surround mix on TWO formats (DVD and blu-ray) as well as pay for vinyl you don't want?

This is some stupid s**t. :realmad: I’m not buying that. I just want the blu-ray. After years of waiting, this is what they decide to serve up?

I’m tired of these deluxe sets that force an LP into it. I haven’t bought any of those (Deja Vu, L.A. Woman, this….). They say to vote with your wallet, but I guess it’s not enough.

    Hello.

Well, I’m buying. The price is good; The Division Bell box was twice as much when it came out and had barely more content.

One thing from the packshots is clear - this isn’t a box. It looks like a hybrid large book/ LP format akin to the 50th anniversary Forever Changes.

Not complaining (especially if it keeps costs reasonable), but just an observation.

Well done; it can't be preordered anymore.

The links now say "out of stock" and probably £58 was a price mistake but Amazon will honour it anyway.

Still available to pre-order for me at £57.99. Didn't go via the link though, I searched in the app.

Says out on 7th October though, so a bit later than the standalone CD and Vinyl it seems.
