Maybe 2021, with no touring going on and all of their live concerts out, it might be the right time for some re-releases.

Pretty sure it would be an Atmos mix of Dark Side:

Mason: And I have to say, I'd love to do Dark Side in Atmos.

As a 5,1.2 Atmos equipped fan, I would happily buy that disc/set/TEY dwarfing box.

Looking good. But the inclusion of material from Obscured By Clouds and Meddle here might be a problem.
Yes, it's not enough presented on the Early Years box set, but still it would look weird to be placed on two sets at the same time.
Unless the Floyd staff consider 'deleting' the Early Years box set from the catalogue.^^

I think a better choice is creating deluxe box sets for (almost) every Pink Floyd album, all packaged the size as the Endless River deluxe edition (CD+DVD/Blu-ray and more).

They should've done this from the start. A Pink Floyd reissue programme kind of like the one we've seen from Jethro Tull would've been just perfect.

A little overlap is no problem, i think

A jethro Tull like reissue programm would have been great ...

Either that, or an elaborate box set of Quad/5.1/Atmos surround mixes. Every album from Atom Heart Mother to the Endless River is already done in 4.0 and/or 5.1 except the Final Cut and The Wall (and that even has a 5.1 mix for the film and Guthrie has supposedly had the multitracks to make a true 5.1 mix for years).

Pink Floyd is still a business. Expect to continue to see one or two releases every year.

So is there hope that, next to the Delicate Sound Of Thunder box set, we'll also get something else this year?

I am thinking that next year would be a good opportunity for a 50th anniversary of Live in Pompeii!

Did any other albums besides DSOTM or WYWH get a 4.0 quad mix?

Atom Heart Mother, which was released, and Meddle, which was not.

Going by memory here, but I think Echoes was the only track mixed in 4.0, and it was released in the Early Years box, which also has the Atom Heart Mother 4.0 mix.

I believe it was only Echoes jn Quad which was released in the early years box.

It was the full Medal remix which was hidden which has not yet received an official release in surround.

The first issues of the "Early Years" box set had the entire quad mix of "Meddle" hidden inside one disc, it was deleted, except for "Echoes".
