I haven't owned Animals on cassette in almost twenty five years but sometimes listening to the CD or LP I swear I can still hear that fade in before "Bus stop, rat bag..."

I can understand why they did it that way for the cassette, though- side one of the album is about four minutes shorter than side two. Can't have those annoying silences at the end of the cassette side, now, can we?

 

No and extra tape on a side means money loss for the record companies . They watched that like a hawk, and they kept those sides as equal as possible
