On past form I expect everybody will be checking their sets thoroughly anyway but a member of another forum has received the box with 'all' the CD's absent from the CD book in a rather large packaging oversight. Hopefully an isolated case.
If just one of them could do a couple of unboxing shots, the itch for next Friday would be at least partiall! scratched.
There are a few up. It's a large, folding clamshell box design with a foam tray at the bottom that has three sections for the CD book, the DVDs and the Blurays. Everything else seems to be layered on top of that with I think the programmes at the very top and they are kept centred by three removable, cardboard, rectangular inserts from what I can see.
I’m not a fan of the early days. I’m certainly not a fan of the Waters-less, later years. Like someone else asked... What happened to the middle years??!
Odd how at the very end you faintly hear the first dog growl from Dogs of War. You’d think that for the standalone track/video it wouldn’t be there.
Is Dec 13 still the release date? I've heard nothing from Imports cd re shipping. Surprised none of the Amazons lowered their price to compete with theirs even close. Unlike many, can't wait to see all the video footage, new and improved.
Which hopefully would include more Meddle material. I would love as many versions of Echoes, audio and video, as possible.
I bought the 12-track Highlights CD and like the sound quality a lot, plus you can really turn up the volume level on this CD...with one exception - has anyone noticed that the last track, "Run Like Hell" (Live) is much louder, way too compressed and borderline brickwalled? Was this a mastering glitch and does it sound like this on the big boxed set as well?
That previously mentioned poor chap certainly didn't discover his hidden CDs. To be serious though, no I don't believe so.
I am still waiting for my box but will rip and search through the Blu Rays and DVDs for anything interesting. I’m not hopeful, but if you don’t look...
I noticed it immediately when watching the official video recently posted to YouTube, and I was not alone. I'm afraid it's probably not a glitch, but a conscious choice.
